Bottlefeeding
Sometimes families decide to stop breastfeeding and this is often a time when additional support is helpful. The weaning process can vary greatly, depending on the age of the baby, reason for weaning and a multitude of other factors unique to individual families. Rachel is available to assist at this time, providing information tailored to the needs of your family.
Family foods - introducing solids
The current Infant Feeding Guidelines (revised 2013) in Australia recommend that solids are introduced to babies at around 6 months. This is an exciting time as babies explore different tastes and textures. It's also a time of when parents receive a lot of conflicting information regarding not only when to start solid foods, but also how, how much, how often and what to give baby. Some families find their baby is not keen to try new foods, others have concerns regarding baby's milk intake and Rachel provides current and practical information to assist parents.
